WRF's 9/11 20th Anniversary Memorial Hike in honor of Captain Ted Williams
My family and I are participating in the Warrior Reunion Foundation's 9/11 - 20th Anniversary Memorial Hike to honor my late grandfather. Capt Williams was the Navigator aboard "Sad Sack", a B-24J in the pacific theater during WWII. He flew 37 combat missions including the longest mission of the war at the time. After the war, he was an engineer and professor of engineering at Purdue University. His squadron began having yearly reunions in 1982. We know how impactful these reunions were for him and the men he served with and we are thrilled to help WRF make the same impact with later generations of warriors. Please consider donating in honor of Capt Williams!
This is Your Call-to-Action
Social isolation is a significant problem in the veteran community and a major contributor of veteran suicide. Veterans experience the most transformative and life-changing circumstances imaginable with a close-knit group of people, only to be separated at the end of their service. WRF exists to provide the venue and means to help veterans rebuild essential peer support networks that challenge stigma through shared experience, while connecting veterans with actionable resources to support their transition needs. Since day one, over 90% of all funds have been allocated to direct program expenses. We will maintain this commitment throughout our existence. Every dollar helps and we are all in this together. Will you help us to reconnect even more veterans?
Our Mission
Warrior Reunion Foundation supports combat veterans in overcoming the challenges of post-military transition by reconnecting those who served together overseas. We challenge stigma through shared experience, rebuilding essential peer support networks that enable our veterans to live with meaning, purpose and positive impact in their communities. YOU have an opportunity to help support that mission!
