NYC has the largest homeless population in the USA. We are 100% volunteer-run and in order to run year after year we have to raise every penny for storage costs, transportation, women's shelter outreach events and more. Help us make this happen!
The Shoebox Project collects & distributes Shoeboxes filled with $50+ of little luxuries to women who are homelessness or at-risk of homelessness in NYC during the holidays, as well as Outreach Women's Shelters Events throughout the year.
The Shoebox Project for Shelters - NYC Chapter is a tax-exempt public charity (federal tax ID #611793315). All contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. No goods or services were provided in exchange for your generous financial donation.

A monthly donation will guarantee we have money coming in so we can plan our year with more confidence.
$25 One-Time
Each dollar donated will help us grow and reach even more women-in-need!
$200 One-Time
Every $200 raised helps us cover one women's outreach event for 15-20 women! We bring in instructors such as a chef or meditation instructor so that the women can relax and have fun for 2 hours and leave with a goodie bag!
$900 One-Time
This covers our yearly Holiday Party in December at a women's shelter. The women do not have ovens in their apartments, so we bring in cookies for them to decorate, a cute holiday photo area, delicious food, and more fun activities!
$2,500 One-Time
This will cover transportation costs during the holiday drive. Getting Shoeboxes picked up and dropped off around the city during December is not an easy task!
$3,500 One-Time
This will cover our storage costs. We receive high-quality product donations year-round and in order to get them into Shoeboxes during the holidays, they have to be stored.
