Be a PA Arts Advocate!
By supporting Citizens for the Arts in Pennsylvania, you stand up for the power of art in PA. We are seeking 101 new contributors to "speak" to our legislators through organized advocacy campaigns to ensure that public funding remains strong.
Citizens for the Arts in Pennsylvania unites many voices into powerful messages about the impact of the arts sector on our communities. We are passionate advocates and believers in the power of arts to drive community and economic development and improve the quality of life for Commonwealth residents.
We know, without doubt, the arts are essential for a healthy society. During the pandemic, a lack of funding to the arts have threatened the sector’s existence. Arts organizations and individuals rely on dependable financial support and give back to the economy in countless ways. Without an organization such as Citizens for the Arts to champion and organize arts advocacy efforts, we may all face a very dark reality. Without your help, Citizens might find its voice silenced and your funding diminished. Your donation to Citizens for the Arts will contribute to the future of creativity in the Commonwealth and to our efforts to secure state and federal funding for the arts sector.
Our campaign starts August 19 and leads up to our October 7th Fall Arts Advocacy Day with PA legislators. Help us spread the word!
We’d like at least 101 new voices to speak out on the importance of the arts through a contribution of both money and time. By being a Citizen for the Arts in Pennsylvania member, you are standing up for the power of art in your state. One hundred one additional contributors that speak to our legislators through our organized advocacy campaigns will help ensure that the state and federal arts budgets are not adversely affected by competing demands. It’s time to amplify our voices!
