The Society of St. Vincent de Paul conference of St. Thomas More and St. Laurence Parishes serves the west side of Elgin, IL. It is a Catholic lay organization and part of an international society whose mission is to provide service to all who are in need or are suffering.  We provide help through person-to-person contact. We meet with our Friends in Need where they live and provide prayer and material support. It is this personalized involvement that makes the work of the Society unique. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation, or often through direct dollar or in-kind service. The Society recognizes that it must assume, also, a role of advocacy for those who are defenseless or voiceless. No work of charity is foreign to the Society.  We help Friends in Need regardless of religion, ethnic or social background, health, gender, or political opinions.  We provide financial assistance to individuals in emergency situations: utilities, housing, medication, and transportation, etc.  

In the past year our conference was able to help, through donations like yours, 1,262 households living within both the St. Thomas More and St. Laurence parishes on the west side of Elgin. Members of the Society give their time and talents voluntarily; 100% of your donation goes to help people in need in our community.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul St. Thomas More/St. Laurence conference is a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.
